PTI rejects parliamentary panel to probe Gulalai’s allegations, says its ‘biased’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday rejected the special parliamentary panel, formed by the National Assembly speaker, as ‘biased.’ The special panel has been formed to look into former PTI lawmaker, Gulalai’s allegations against party Chief, Imran Khan.

Spokesperson for PTI chief, Shireen Mazari, in a letter written to the NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq, stated, “In PTI’s view, a committee comprising our political opponents has no credibility — and political opponents cannot be accusers, judge and jury.” She further went on to say, “Such a biased committee will become a tool for victimising political opponents in the future also and will set a bad parliamentary precedent.”
